Lucas Neilson: Maple Leafs preparing to tame one of the Beasts of the East Boston or Tampa Bay

Remember everyone, when Garnie arrives, we return to the MiB blog to go over the plans for 2018-19 Leafs Predictions.

I am still unsure who I would rather see lose between the Leafs and Boston in the playoffs.

The best move for me would be to laugh at whoever is losing imo.

I don't think he is, Boston is a hell of a team.

But they don't have the depth that Tampa has.

Also, Vasilevsky is a monster while Rask is easily rattled.

I think we can beat Boston in a seven game series.. However, in the odd chance we do lose to Boston in triple overtime of Game 7, I fear for the UG rants...

Personally I don't know if I could relive the rage induced by all the Bruins bullpoop. Whistles go away in the playoffs and that's where Bruins thrive. Crosscheck a few ribs here, break a nose there, throw a waterbottle over yonder, etc.

My gut still says Boston finishes in 1st in the regular season.

I'm sure there could be a few scenarios for the Dutch. So many of them speedskate to work so I'm sure something could come up.

But Tampa.....they've got hedman and now McD...their D is deep.

I'm sure there could be a few scenarios for the Dutch. So many of them speedskate to work so I'm sure something could come up.

I agree. Tampa is really deep. They are definitely making a run.

And, I don't discount Boston either. I hate to say it but the Marchand/Pastrnak pairing is dangerous. That doesn't include Bergeron, Kraeji, Debrusk, Nash. And their D is solid too.

Both teams made some smart moves at the TDD and are much better on D and slightly deeper at forward than the Leafs.

Not saying we can't win in 7, especially if we play like last year against Washington, but the Leafs are still not quite there...yet.

I will cheer for the Leafs and bet for them to win it all...but note: I've done that with Joey (frank)ing Crabb in the line up.
